A few photos of the lodge and around Mariailles

The refuge is accessible by car via a 5-km forest track from the Col de Jou. In the winter (from the 1st snow to 15 May), the track is strictly prohibited to vehicles (€135 fine). Enquire from the refuge. You will have to leave your vehicle at the Col de Jou and walk approximately two hours on the track or on the GR hiking trail. We recommend the latter for its beauty. In the summer, no vehicles are allowed on the track past the Randé carpark. From there, you'll have a 40-minute walk to the refuge.

For more details, you can get the following topographic maps: IGN Top 25 No. 2349ET or Rando map No. 10 Canigou. For those who are worried about getting lost, here are the GPS coordinates of the refuge: UTM WGS 84 - 31T 0451 350; 4705 600 - alt 1,718 m

We have 53 beds at your disposal (dormitories of 12 to 15 beds), each with a mattress, blanket, pillow and pillow-case. We recommend that you bring a light sleeping bag.

For all payments, please bring cash and/or your cheque book (no credit card).

We expect those who will be eating at the refuge to arrive before 7 PM and those who will only be spending the night to arrive before 9 PM. The meal is served at a single sitting. If you expect to arrive late, please inform us accordingly and plan to eat in the valley. When the track is accessible by car, to respect other users and for the proper functioning of the refuge, guests are required to arrive within the above times.
